Hi all,
Some reminders in preparations for our last session:

Presentation: see tips on the Guide available for download in Session 04 instructions.

John and Catherine — you will each have 15 minutes to present what you worked on.

If Tash wants to present or discuss anything about her project, we can set aside 10 mins at the end of Session 05 for her to speak to the group about it, as to make up for the group interaction that she had to miss on Session 03. No pressure, I will speak to her to plan time before the session, if it be the case.

*** Liz Lerman’s Critical Response Process (CRP) is a method for giving and getting feedback on work in progress, designed to leave the maker eager and motivated to get back to work.
Through the supportive structure of its four steps, CRP combines the power of questions with the focus and challenge of informed dialogue. Offering makers an active role in the critique of their own work, it rehearses the connections we seek when art meets it audience or a product meets its purpose.

Natalia’s note: I find this can be helpful to artists of all disciplines, when work is fresh and perhaps not yet ready for full critique — as a method for becoming active supporters of each others’ work.

I will review this briefly at the beginning of our session, and we will try to implement it during the viewing of others’ work, and when we discuss the works at the second part of the session. Have a notepad ready!
